At The Westport Club, we’ve prepared New Year’s Eve celebrations that will be remembered for years to come. We’ve got dining options for everyone, from couples heading out for a big night to groups of friends looking for a tasty meal. There’s top quality entertainment to bring in the New Year, and the best spot in Port Macquarie to watch the New Year’s Eve fireworks display.
To help you plan your perfect New Year’s Eve, here’s a suggested itinerary to make life a little easier for you. To kick start the evening, you could choose to dine in one of our two superb restaurants. There’s no better way to prepare for a long night of celebrations than with family and friends around the dinner table. Delicious food, amazing drinks, and great company is the perfect recipe for an evening to remember. Your two choices are:
Hastings Coffee Co.
Our menu of perfect pizzas, gourmet burgers and fresh salads will be just the thing to satisfy a big hunger on New Year’s Eve. As the name might suggest, Hastings Coffee Co. is located on the Hastings River, which means it has beautiful panoramic views of the water. You can stop in and enjoy a meal or a coffee while enjoying the sight of boats cruising past or perhaps a pod of dolphins frolicking offshore. Hastings Coffee Co. is open for dinner from 5pm.
Aqua
For an a la carte dining experience, join us at Aqua. Once again our chefs use exceptional local produce to create meals that are just too good to resist. Some of the dishes on offer from Aqua include:
- Salmon Bruschetta – smoked salmon | dill cream cheese | pickled Spanish onion | cucumber ribbons | ciabatta | fried capers.
- Cashew Curry – Sri Lankan style vegan curry | chickpeas | coriander | rice | papadums.
- Pork Loin – pan-roasted pork loin | honey roasted sweet potato | beans | creamy mustard sauce
There is no better place in Port Macquarie to watch the New Year’s Eve fireworks display, with The Westport Club located on the banks of the beautiful Hastings River. As your dinner starts to settle, those looking to welcome the New Year with younger family members can head out to Westport Park and grab a great viewing spot or pop into Young’s Carnival for some family fun. It’s the perfect way to end the night for our smallest visitors. Our more mature night owls can head on up to Jimmy’s Bar & Lounge and watch as the skies light up in dazzling displays of colour. A perfect start to the night and the New Year. There will be two fireworks displays on New Year’s Eve, one at 9pm and another at midnight, with both taking place around the waters off the Town Green in Port Macquarie.
Once the action in the skies has died down, it’s time to let your hair down and kick up your heels at Jimmy’s Bar & Lounge. Head for the bar and order one of our signature cocktails, after all, if you can’t indulge in an exotic drink on New Year’s Eve, when can you? We highly recommend trying one our special luxury cocktails, “New Year’s Kiss” – but we’ve got a sneaking suspicion you might want to sample more than one.
Or perhaps choose from our famous whiskey selection – over 100 and counting.
To cap off a sensational evening, you’ll be entertained by DJ Water and Bridges. With a chillout meets jazz meets swing vibe, this exciting and energetic DJ will have you dancing on the dance floor all night long.
You can find us at 25 Buller Street, Port Macquarie, right down by the Hastings River next to Westport Park. If you don’t know where that is, you can find us using the new Take Me There feature of our website.
For more information, you can call the Club on (02) 6588 7201. This will be the biggest New Year’s Eve event in Port Macquarie, and we’re confident reservations will go fast. Until then, enjoy the rest of your December and we’ll see you for a fantastic night on December 31.
